Life has been flying by and it seems as if I am along on the ride. I have things such as work, family, blogging, and friends sometimes it can be a bit much. Sometimes in life it can all be too much. I’ve learned that if you are going to make it in life you must learn one thing: Storms will come and storms will go. But know they are never meant to last forever.
I smile knowing that God is amazingly faithful even when I am not. And when I feel like my strength has failed and my hope is lost, I don’t have to be strong I simply have to turn to his promises. For years, it seemed as if I was on a running on a exercise wheel often putting God on the back burner – often because I thought I could do it on my own.
Boy was I wrong! Every time, I pushed him away is when things got worse and worse. Only for me to go back to Father for forgiveness. Have you ever noticed how sometimes your parents will let you go through some mess to realize you just might need them? Yep, I was there..my storm was so dark at times I could not see through the clouds.
I remember one day at work, I was so stressed out I went to the bathroom to cry. When I entered the stall tears fell, and I was completely through – turning in the towel was my next option. But then I realized where my strength came from – I immediately stopped crying and prayed for strength just for that day. After praying I felt a lot better and the rest of my day was manageable.
So why am I telling you this? Well, today is Monday and often times it can be a little hard. But I wanted you to know that you don’t have to be strong or stressed out. You simply have to lean on, pray, and receive that today is your day, in knowing that sometimes the darkest storms brings out the brightest smiles.
Father, today (Monday) we have for strength and boldness as we go through this day. We ask that you guard us from the enemy who is here to set up our we for failure. We ask that you give of courage in the midst of the storm, only to stand on your word that today we will be victorious. Not because of our own strength, but our strength in you Lord. – Amen
This is really out of my norm, I know.. but I really want to send you some encouragement today. – Be Blessed.
