Providence New American Kitchen is nestled in the beautiful Hilton President. If you follow my blog, You should be aware of the restaurant. But if you have not, Please be sure to read my previous review. This month, I am reviewing some of Kansas City’s restaurants fabulous fall desserts. The Providence was an absolute no-brainer, they have a beautiful restaurant, knowledgeable staff, and perhaps some of the most personable and friendliest management staff I’ve ever encountered.
First up, The Providence’s Pumpkin Spice Donuts ($7.50) The warm doughnuts were rolled up in a delicious cinnamon/sugar/spice mixture served up with the cutest mug of pumpkin glaze topped and served with a pepita carmel brittle. My Thoughts – I have never, ever, been a fan of anything pumpkin. However, this dessert had me reconsider my pumpkin stance and now I’m a fan.
I drizzled the glaze on the doughnuts and took my first bite. It was soft, sugary, and a subtle yet noticeable pumpkin flavor. This dessert makes you want to curl up in front of a fireplace and enjoy a cold winter’s night. (Click the pictures below to enlarge the images)
Secondly, The Sticky Toffee Pudding made up of a Hot Date Cake, Campfire Whisky Glaze, 6th Glass Ice Cream. If I was not told, I would have never known this cake was out of made dates. But honey, You can date me anytime. This cake was delicious! You could taste notes of citrus, a tad sprinkle of sea salt, and toffee within every bite of this divine cake. The 6th Glass Ice cream adds a touch of cold, cool, and tartness. Which makes this duo literally dances on your tongue like an unforgettable prom night.
The Providence desserts serves up class, sophistication, and unforgettable flavors. Please be sure to check them out.
