Kansas City’s “Original” Fashionista’s Kimberly Wallace of Kimberlyloc and Jess Afshar of MimiandChichi both host fashion blogs. Their blogs indulge, insight, and educate those who love all things; beauty, health, and what else.. Fashion! I recently attended their first event called, “Fashionista’s on a Mission”. The event was held at the beautiful and trendy KC Garment District Boutique in the heart of the Power and Light district. Upon entry you could hear the fab music which made me want to dance into the door. *But at last, I restrained* The event was filled with people mixing, mingling, and shopping. The drinks were being poured by Kansas Cleaned Distilled Whiskey, while appetizers were made by Au Bon Macaron where beautiful bite-sized of deliciousness. I introduced myself to the host’s of the event Kimberlyloc’s Kim and MiMiandChiChi’s Jess, these ladies were beautiful, humble, and very gracious! It’s hard to find people who were just as sweet as they were now-a-days. The event raised a whopping $1,045 which is fantastic for first time event planners, who will soon be pro’s in no time if they keep throwing events like this.
