Where can you find the Aviary Cafe?
The Aviary hosts two locations, one located Downtown and the other is location is in Farmers Park both reside in Springfield, Missouri.
What did I order?
Small Plates: Bacon Jam – Fresh grilled baguettes, topped with whipped goat cheese and red eye bacon jam topped with orange zest. This appetizer plate is severely addictive. The homemade bacon jam was so delightful; you’d wish had a jar of it bedside to savor in the wee hours of the night.
Crepe: Shrimp Scampi Florentine – Sauteed shrimp with garlic, basil pesto, spinach, grape tomato and a lemon white wine cream sauce. Garnished with fried capers, chevre, and fresh basil. I have to admit; this was one of the best dishes I’ve ever experienced, just imagine experiencing shrimp scampi but taken to a whole new level. The fresh fruit that accompanied this dish was a well-received bonus!
Bubbly: A meal would not be complete with something to wash it all down. The Strawberry Basil Sangria (White wine, St. Germaine, white grape juice, basil & fresh fruit) was the perfect addition to finishing off this meal. I’m not a huge lover of alcohol however this may have made me a convert.
Dessert: Last but certainly not least, a traditional French Cream Puff. When the dessert tray came to the table who am I to deny such a beautiful finish.

What is Black Sheep Burger?
Black Sheep Burger is an upscale burger joint which serves up innovative burger creations and luscious liquor-filled milkshakes, which will have you salivating by just reading the menu.
Where is Black Sheep Burger located?
Black Sheep Burger is located in downtown Springfield, Missouri just shy of the square.
Shakes: I started off with a shake called the Sugar Daddy. The Sugar Daddy consisted of Andy’s Frozen Custard in Vanilla, Smoked Bourbon, Butterscotch Schnapps, and topped with candied bacon. Let me tell you; I would be a shugga momma to this sugar daddy any day. YES, indeed!
Burger: The Cowboy Carl – Imagine a 4oz patty, slow cooked smoked brisket, white cheddar, candied bacon, pickles, bbq sauce topped with spicy fried onions. Now that I have your attention, I can tell you this burger was a hybrid between the best burger of your life and bbq brisket. It was truly an experience to be experienced. I will say after having four bites out of it and a few fries. I quickly threw my towel in the ring. I gave up, but it wasn’t a willing defeat, the burger won. I enjoyed the rest of this meaty masterpiece that evening.
Fries: I consider myself a French fry connoisseur, their spuds were the best of the best. They were freshly made and sprinkle with just the right amount of sea salt. They also came with a series of six dipping sauces to choose from – talk about choices.
