It’s been a while since I’ve posted an outfit post. I know, I know.. I promise to do better. This past weekend, I went shopping at a local boutique. While in conversation with the shop owner she mentioned, I see your blog is taking a new direction with food. “No!” I replied. I just felt as if I’ve gained quite a bit of weight and have not felt motivated to post outfits. I really begin to think, Social Media will have you doubting yourself – your looks, your style, and your voice.
Know that you are acceptable just the way you are, social media will have you believing you need to change who you are. But the fact is, you are already pretty damn awesome. While you may view my social media channels, I am always posting the “perfect” selfie. Well, I usually take at least 5-6 pictures before I feel comfortable posting the perfect picture. By the time you see it on social media, its been filtered and completely doctored up.
The conversation over the weekend motivated me get back into posting outfits. Here is my first one, I’m getting back on the horse with a plain and simple outfit. I love pairing a white oxford and boyfriend jeans. This outfit is so versatile, it can be dressed up with a pair of heels and a statement necklace or perhaps wear it casual with flats and a fedora.
Here’s my version of plain and simple outfit – I paired a white oxford, boyfriend jeans, a statement necklace and everyday flats.
Shirt – thrifted/ Boyfriend Jeans – Gap Outlet $10 / Flats – J. Jill Thrifted $5.99 / Necklace c/o Enve Designs / Watch c/o Jord Wood Watches
Cute! You are rockin’ this outfit!
Thank you!
