Every Monday, I try to bring my readers why’s in which you can stay or get motivated. This week’s is a little different. My husband’s birthday was this past weekend and I decided to dedicate it to him. Although it was hard for me to stay away from Instagram (which happens to be my favorite social media tool). As we celebrated all weekend long with no kids (shout out to my in laws and sister), I began to think about ways in which my husband motivates me for this weeks Motivation Monday.
5 reasons why I am motivated by my husband
- My husband is the first one in his family to graduate from college. His drive and determined to push beyond the mediocre is inspiring. He motivates me to be a continuous learner.
- When my husband and I talking about marriage he was unable to buy a ring to propose. At the time he worked at a car dealership so he practically drove a new car home every day. He decided to sell his own car to purchase my engagement ring. His level of sacrifice is unmatched. He motivates me to sacrifice to become better.
- My husband is my own private guidance counselor. It doesn’t hurt that he has a degree in Psychology coupled with a MBA. When I need help in my personal business venture, guiding through office politics or just life in general. He is always there to guide me. He motivates me to become strategic and smart business woman.
- My husband is a praying man. It’s not every day that you can find a man praying for you and your family as well. His faith is anchored in God. I just feel honored to have someone who is concerned about my spiritual well-being. He motivates me to strengthen my relationship with Christ.
- My husband is a great father. We have two girls (an eight year old and a five year old). I hear so many horror stories from other mom’s on how their husband does not help out. I am blessed to have a man who takes care of his children. He takes them on daddy-daughter dates, helps them out with school work, picks out their clothes (yes, he has fashion sense as well) and shows them love which raises the bar for future suitors. He motivates me to be a better parent.
I absolutely love this post! My husband inspires me to be diligent in my beliefs and keep my head up in the face of adversity. He believes in me often times more than I believe in myself. 🙂
