This quote is to remind yourself that whatever struggle/adversity is challenging you, know that it only gives you strength for the tomorrow. Struggle/Adversity is not comfortable. As a matter of fact, My husband always tells me, “You have to be okay with being uncomfortable”.
I have a natural knack for connecting with people. I’ve never met a stranger, that I wont say “Hi” too. Whether it be at the grocery store, gym, or at a restaurant. Networking with strangers is a little uncomfortable for me. You are in a room filled with total strangers, as if its your first day at school. Will they like me? Will they judge me? Am I enough to be considered one of the cool kids? This year, I plan to get “uncomfortable” and tackle my struggle with net working with strangers in areas I desire to be affiliated with.
Here are some tips that may help you with networking:
1) Check the breathe! It may seem funny, But there’s nothing funny about speaking to someone and offending them with not so fresh breath at the same time.
2) Break the ice by saying “Hi” first.
3) Start off with a compliment.
4) Be genuine.
What are some areas in which you have struggle in? Are you prepared to be uncomfortable to address the struggle head on?
