I had every intention to go to the Jacobson on last Sunday afternoon for lunch, Little did I know that The Jacobson was closed on Sundays. After traveling twenty miles Downtown and eventually being more upset that I wasted gas. I was determined not to give up. So I did what all young people do? I googled! There were a few restaurants in the area but few were open for Restaurant Week’s lunch after 2:00pm. So, I called the Reserve and they were open lunch until 3:00pm. Score!
Salad
Mixed greens, tomatoes, roasted red peppers, goat cheese and housemade balsamic. The salad was fresh and delightful. The creamy and slightly tart flavored goat cheese added another element to the salad, which sent the salad from good to great. The housemade balsamic was light, smooth, and slightly tart which complimented the salad.
Grilled Salmon with Roasted Root Vegetables and Lemon Butter Sauce
I am absolutely in love with Salmon. The salmon was moist, lightly seasoned, and grilled to perfection. The root vegetables included yukon potatoes, sweet potatoes, and carrots. The vegetables were sauteed not seasoned and lightly covered with the lemon butter sauce. Simple dish..Yet, Simply Delicious.
Creme Brulee
So, What is Creme Brulee exactly? Creme Brulee is a baked egg custard with a burnt sugar topping, although this brulee was topped with almonds. I found this creme brulee to thick, creamy, rich, and decedant.
