Kansas City Fashion Week sets a new trend every season, each year the show gets better and better. This year I attended the opening night (Mayor’s night) of fashion week. The collection were amazing from the well-dressed eye candy from Paolini Garment Company to exciting sock game from Young Hearted Socks. Each collection brought uniquely styled fashions which peeked my interest with each collection.
You can see from my Instagram feed (Follow @fashionplatekc) to experience the evening as I did. It was great to catch up some of my blogger boo’s such as Jasmine from The Jasmine Diane, Andrea from Style My Way, Catilin from Sophisticaited, and Ngan from Enve Designs. When you have a moment be sure to check out these girls.
Paolini Garment Company
Paolini Garment Company brings a modern twist on the classic Renaissance man. The line shown below boasts on carefully crafted blazers, modern fit slacks and jeans, and the unordinary oxford shirt. While I admit it was hard for me to focus on the clothing, it was a few times I forgot to snap a picture of a suit. Paolini Garment Company brings in the word of TLC Crazy, Sexy, Cool back to the modern male.
Dolyn Bags creator (Ami Beck) was new to Kansas City Fashion Week. But you would not believe she is a new comer with her seasoned designs. Her bags are made of butter soft leather that looked amazing on the run-way, so amazing that I initially believed you could buy these bags in a store. If you are looking for a one of a kind bag that is sure to turn heads and have women ask, “Excuse me, Where’d you get that bag?” then Dolyn Bags is your friend.
Molly Elizabeth Designs
Molly Elizabeth is Kansas City Fashion’s Week youngest designer to date, at the tender age of 15 she is specializing in women’s designs. This was my favorite look from the line, it gave off a “hippy-chic” vibe. The wide leg mustard-colored geometric pants would easy transition from spring into fall.
Young Hearted Socks
Socks are the newest accessories to receive a major overhaul. Sock were so boring the usual black dress socks in corporate america are dead. Now the “sock game” is sweeping across the nation, you’ll see everything from stripes to polka dots. But never have I seen socks for adults with such flare. The ice cream cone with sparkles socks were my absolute favorite. The best I love about their socks are they are unisex.
Kansas City Fashion Week is always filled with amazing fashion, reuniting with friends, and new things to add the “To-Buy” list.
Looks like you had a great time!!! I’m loving the photos of the men’s line that you captured! Tre chic!!
