Houlihan’s is changing the restaurant game by partnering up with Inspiralized creator Ali Maffucci of insprialized.om. What does it mean to get “Inspiralized”? It means using spiralized veggies in place of pasta. Which is better for you because it’s lower in carbs and sugar, thus creating a healthier meal.
The mission of “Inspiralized” is to eat deliciously and creatively by eating vegetables in the form noodles to assist in clean eating. I am a fan of huge fan of pasta, so I admit it was hard for me to get on the Inspiralized band wagon. But even skeptics have to convert once proven wrong.
I sent one of my blog assistants to go the initial invitation from Houlihan’s. He raved at how fresh and delicious the dishes were, when I asked if he would order them again. He replied, “Yes, most definitely”. Ok, I thought. I guess I will give it a try. I happen to go to Houlihan’s a few weeks later with a girlfriend.
When I told her we would be trying their new Inspiralized menu she was not happy. But I convinced her to give it a try. I ordered the Thai “Noodle” Salad. My girlfriend ordered the Butternut Squash and Sausage Lasagna with a side pest zucchini “noodle” salad.
The Thai “Noodle” salad was fresh, flavorful and satisfying. Unlike having a normal pasta salad I did not leave feeling uncomfortably full afterwards. She raved about the lasagna, and described the butternut squash as delightful and surprisingly delicious. I would recommend getting away from the norm and if you are open to trying something new, give these dishes a try. I promise you will not leave with a smile about how you trick yourself into eating healthy and truly enjoyed it.
