I attended Kansas City Fashion Week this past weekend, I was so impressed with just about everything on the runway. It was a pleasant surprise to see KC represent so well. But this blog post is not about KC Fashion week, It’s about what I wore to fashion week.

If you are like me you receive invites to attend events from family, friends or co-workers. I struggle sometimes with what to wear and it never fails that I end up going to buy something to wear to this “one” event. Well, Wouldn’t it be great to look fabulous and never have to worry about spending ton’s of money to look good? As a matter of fact, Wouldn’t it be great to just “borrow” something?’ If your answer is Yes! Then, Lend Perk is your new best friend. I found out about Lend Perk from my blogger friends Val & Nikki at StyletoEnvy.

LendPerk is the”Netflix for Dresses” – rent dresses that you would find in stores like Anthropologie, ASOS, Modcloth, and more.

They have three plans –

1) $20/month – rent 1 dress every month (2 week maximum rental period)

2) $34/month – rent 2 dresses every month

3) $49/month – no limit on how many dresses you can rent

A 9 day free trial is included with every plan for newcomers to test out the service with no financial obligation. You can check out one dress during this rental trial for free! You only pay when you decide to become a member.

We are constantly adding to our collection – more dresses are being added every month in different sizes!

I contacted the owner to sign up for the program. After chatting with her about how I was looking for something to wear to Kansas City Fashion Week. I was offered “two” dresses to wear to the event. I definitely took her up on the offer and ended up looking fab! Come on ladies, $20 a month to rent a dress is beyond a deal. I would have easily spent more than $20 on a dress. I also forgot to mention, its free shipping both ways.

Here is what I wore to the events.

The show took a brief intermission were I got a chance to meet the humble, personal, and beautiful - Miss Missouri and Miss Missouri Teen. These ladies were so sweet and gracious, a perfect fit to represent my state.

I also met the beautiful and personable Miss Kansas USA. We chatted for a few moments, She is the camera girl, you can call your girlfriend.

Whitney, I thought it was an excellent idea. I wish someone would have thought of it sooner.
