Dinner Lab is coming to Kansas City! What is Dinner Lab you say? Dinner Lab is a social dining experiment that unites undiscovered chefs with adventurous diners who are looking for something different from the conventional restaurant experience. Their events bring together a group of interesting strangers around a common table to share cuisine crafted by up and coming chefs from all over the country.
And if that isn’t enough, Dinner Lab does not dictate what their chefs cook. They allow the chefs to showcase their culinary talents and provide a platform in which they can tell their food story. The diners provide the chef of the evening their open and honest feedback. By doing this it allows the up and coming chef to improve upon their next dining menu.
There is a yearly membership fee which gives you early access to all the dining experiences in your area and you have access to dining in other participating Dinner Lab cities as well. A member would also have to pay for the meal. By becoming a member you are allowed to (+ 3 other non member), so bring a girlfriends/boyfriends. If you are a couple that loves food this would make the perfect gift.
Get this…you are bound to sit by a total stranger. But as I believe there are no strangers over food. Usually conversations start out talking about the food and by the end of a few delicious courses and cleverly crafted drinks. You are best friends! No seriously, but you are discussing numerous topics by that time and its less awkward.
Don’t worry about getting burned out on the menu, Dinner Lab’s chefs from participating locations will high-five each other and fly to your city to cook. So you are sure to get a unique dining experience each gathering. I’m sure by now your jaw is absolutely dropped and your mind is blown saying…Why didn’t I think of that? It’s ok, I thought the same thing. But guess what, you get to experience it without the work. Dinner Lab’s ingenious higher ups have thought of everything.
