I decided to take a few days off from blogging and start a digital detox. What is a digital detox exactly? A digital detox is taking time off from all things digital (cell phones, tablets, laptops, computers and etc.) I found it very hard for me to complete this task. I simply can’t live without my cellphone, so I managed to snap some Instagram pictures this week.
Here’s what I’ve been up to…
I went to local boutique Tulip located on the Country Club Plaza. Tulip is a gorgeous boutique with beautiful clothes, amazing jewelry, and the sunglasses. Well, I wanted all of them. As you can see below I tried on quite a few and to my surprise I looked great in all of them. But I selected the clear frames with faded lenses.
While on the plaza, I also stopped by Anthropologie and found a beautiful ikat dress and a fun jumpsuit. I tested my chopstick skills as I enjoyed sushi at Kona Grill; as you can see I am a chopstick master in training. And lastly, I could not leave the Plaza without visiting the ultimate food store – Sur La Table. It’s a foodie’s dream.
My oldest child turned eight years old. I am so blessed to have a beautiful and sweet girl; who still loves to play with Barbie dolls, dances in the mirror, and loves to cook with mom in the kitchen.
(Pictures below) I managed to attempt a snag a kiss from my husband only to find out we were photo-bombed by the waiter in the background. No PDA I guess. Dairy Queen’s pecan mudslide is one of my weaknesses, I devoured every morsel. The birthday girl, her sister and I love to strike a pose in a restaurant bathroom mirror, who am I kidding? We strike a pose in any mirror. Lastly, I managed to have a moment of solitude on the slide as my girls played.
Lastly, I found a new foundation – Hello Flawless by Benefit. I never believed I could find a foundation I loved more than MAC Studio Fix foundation + Powder. But after sampling Benefit Hello Flawless in my Birchbox, I decided to make the purchase and I’m so glad that I did. I love it.
How was your week? Do tell…

Kari,
The digital detox was much needed. I’m glad I did it.
