As a mom you never get tired right? Not! Sometimes as a mom you are so busy taking care of others that you forget to take out time for yourself? When do you ever have time for that quiet moment alone (locking yourself in the bathroom doesn’t count)? I was thrilled when KC Mom’s Blog offered a Mom’s Night Out; I could not wait to attend.
A girlfriend and I attended the event and with eight children between the two of us, we high-fived as we met up at Bella Patina Kc. Bella Patina KC is a charming and inviting venue, restaurant, and vintage store that you’ll absolutely love. I fell in love with its shabby chic, modern intrigue, and vintage items. The store sells jewelry, furniture, clothing and everything in between. And with three levels you’ll have plenty to choose from.
KC Mom’s Blog had fun pampering stations throughout the venue for its guest. We began the first hour exploring the store. Soon thereafter, my girlfriend and I went to the Jamberry station to get our nails done. It was fun to model your finished nails in a mini nail catwalk. Afterwards, we enjoyed eyebrow waxes by Niki’s Wax Bar. It was quite the experience, as I was an eyebrow wax virgin. The first pull was an initial shock. But afterwards I was fine and I loved the results. Lastly, we treated ourselves to a lip exfoliation treatment by Face and Body Skincare by Heidi. After the treatment, I found my puckers to be perfectly soft. My husband thought so too!
We perused over the dining room that was a tea party princess’s dream. Yes, grown women can have tea parties too. I was excited to finally meet the founder Tonya Blythe of KC Mom’s Blog. We dined at the third floor restaurant called Vintage Eats and Sweets. The menu included the following below:
Rigatoni and seasonal vegetables (including portabella mushrooms) with chicken in a garlic aioli sauce
Green salad
French bread
Peach Povitica served warm with vanilla ice cream and caramel sauce
It was towards the end of the evening when everyone returned back to the dining room for the best part of the evening: The Giveaways!! We sat and eagerly anticipated our names being called to win. My girlfriend won a $100 spa gift card, while I won a wine and painting session for two. It was the “best mom’s night out” I’ve ever had. It was the perfect evening, nothing but pampering, relaxation, and laughter. I’m eagerly anticipating the next event. I hope after reading this post you are too.
